I wonder why they changed the name? Jelinek Sharpshear does not have the same ominous ring to it :P

I think I'll go to the IF barber instead next time, just in case... - 2010-03-10 04:35:51

Soon soon my bird will be 80 too, the hunter alt just dinged 76 so it's just a matter of a few weeks at the most now!

I've had her since both my hunter and the bird was lvl 10 (tamed her following your splendid guide here). The hunter is the same size but the bird is huge now - I remember how small she was when I first tamed her :-)

She has another pet too now, the rare white-ish bat found in Tirisfal Glades, but her pink flamingo is still closest to her heart.

That blue color of the Clutchmother is really pretty against the pinkishness of Dalaran - it does look a tad subdued in the gloomy forest of Darkshore so I've never wanted to tame it before. Guess I will go tame it now :-) - 2010-02-02 09:49:38

I got one last night and really likd the unique animations.

It's not too big so it doesn't get in the way and at 5 levels lower than my cat, does more damage and holds aggro better on mobs.

Only had it a day, but loved it so much I had to google him :) - 2010-01-26 04:29:44

What I particularly like about this is that it's such a great idea to "show players this area" in a way that we really do just sit back and watch. A really cool way to get people to explore too. I'd never gotten around to trying that pvp area either - but after the log ride since I was in the area anyhow - I did, just to give it a try. - 2010-01-04 19:12:46

Oh it's not ranty at all - I know just what you mean - I've seen that same "wolf runs off to kill rat" soooo many times! And you're right about the bears fishing - I totally loved that, but never thought to mention it. But it was one of the coolest things in the Grizzly Hills.

See, this is why I can't ever "finish Wow" - now I'm thinking I need to go on more wildlife watching expeditions! - 2010-01-04 19:10:58

230 - 340 - batgrl -

Oh my! I must go see these guys now!
Seeing this right after seeing the bears fishing in the Grizzly Hills makes me love this game even more. Granted this is more hilarious than impressive(though it does seem like quite a feat to make Rhinos bounce) it did make me think back to the other creature to creature interaction I have seen a lot of since I left to boat to Northrend. You should totally have a post about the different wildlife elements added with the latest expansion that are so much more than a wolf killing a critter every now and then back in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Yeah...comment seems kind of ranty, sorry about that :0 - 2009-12-30 20:21:16

Every time I read that someone else has that wolf I am foolishly happy. Especially because I gave mine up because I needed a space free to test tame. When the expansion comes I am definitely making another hunter just to have more stable space! - 2009-11-06 16:51:06

In order to tame the Kurken as a Horde character, I killed myself near Darkshore (drowning in my case), and then, as a ghost, got onto the ship at Darkshore and travelled across. As a ghost, I then walked onto the ocean to one of the areas marked as 'deep' and stood there until my ghost died (again) of fatigue. I was then brought back to the graveyard on Azuremyst island, rezzed at the graveyard, waited for health and penalties to wear off, and went from there. Good Luck! - 2009-10-18 23:53:46

Good luck on whacking Mr.Grol .I am a lvl 63 Deathknight and have spent 2 days honing my dying skills.I killed everything around him and then summoned my ghoul. My health was higher than Grol's all the way to 0 health on his graph.I had about a half inch and he had zilch.I pounded and sliced and yelled.Every time I tried to use the "special" weapon, my character said,"I can't use that yet." To which I yelled back,"Then when can you use it?" I now have spit all over my screen and am considering registering for a bit of anger management. My head is pounding and my eyes are bugging out. I guess I'll have to look into Everquest or Lord of the Rings (again).I just want that big fat pig of a demon to die!
I feel better now.(I still hate him).hehehehehe - 2009-08-18 20:28:29

"You can get another neural needler from the mage at the top of the tower and torture the prisoner again and again."

Ok I thought that was for sale for people who might have - no idea how - lost their needler somehow and needed it to finish the quest. I actually bought one after I did the quest thinking that I could use it on fellow gamers - just for fun of course. I tried to use it on a friend and nope, nada, it wouldn't let me. Oddly, it never occurred to me to try it again on the still chained up prisoner. Which is probably good, right?

"This is why the quest has meaning, and why the way that it resolves is so disappointing to me."
I agree - I still look back on that and think that maybe I somehow missed the real ending. Because the actual ending didn't really feel like it. - 2009-07-13 17:58:58

You know, the only character I've been able to handle that daily on is my death knight, and that's possibly because I could stand away from the children and kill the mother off to the side. Which REALLY sounds awful, but I could sort of pretend that at least I wasn't killing the mom in front of the kids. Oh and also I was an evil death knight, rawr. Which is even more ridiculously unconvincing from a gnome with pink hair. - 2009-07-13 17:49:54

Wow.. finally someone who agrees with me that the Wolvar kidnapping quest is deeply disturbing.

My husband makes fun of me because I won't do it for my kaluak dailies.

I'm not saying that I particularly LIKE the wolvar~~~~;~~~~ I much prefer their big-mouthed childlike opposites in sholazar basin. That still doesn't make it feel even *approaching* kosher to abduct their children day after day. Every time I do that quest, I feel like the pied piper of northrend.
It's not a cool feeling. - 2009-07-13 14:19:08

I have noticed this on my draenei characters as well. Particularly my hunter, on the rare occasions she gets overwhelmed and killed I'll see her drop her crossbow off to the side of her body. I'm always worried that I'll make the corpse run back and it'll be gone. - 2009-07-09 12:15:46

207 - 317 - Avaric -

I've heard the "only a game" argument before, but the fact remains that YOU have to make a moral decision, regardless of whether it is toons or real people suffering the consequences. People tend to dress it up a lot because deep inside they don't want to face what that decision says about them, personally.

This is why the quest has meaning, and why the way that it resolves is so disappointing to me.

My warlock enjoyed it, though. - 2009-07-06 23:09:41

197 - 316 - Grimmtooth - http://wowblog.grimmlabs.com

You can get another neural needler from the mage at the top of the tower and torture the prisoner again and again. If that's your kind of thing. I never understood why they'd do that. While I admit that the torture quests are distasteful, I don't spend much time pondering them, though. - 2009-07-06 08:48:10

Well, you know that sooner or later, those Hatchling prices will come down a bit! And it's really too much fun to have the minipet matching the pet. I stalked the auction house prices for weeks until I found a price I could manage, and it would have been better if I could have held out a bit longer...but, nope!

And oh YES, do I agree on the warlock front. The voidy seems worse than the felguard for some reason - but maybe that's just because he makes everything go all blue when he stands on top of you. - 2009-07-01 20:18:12

206 - 314 - batgrl -

After I read here about the Mulgore Hatchling to match my combat pink flamingo named Blingbling I've been keeping an eye out for it to pop up on the AH, but so far it's been horrendously priced (= way more than I have on all my chars combined so far).

And the warlocks' minions do just like the hunters pets, can you imagine how silly it looks when her huge felguard wanders over and stands on top of my tiny gnome warlock? - 2009-06-29 07:35:40

206 - 313 - Tessy - http://reflectionsfromthepond.com

I also find myself still thinking about it sometimes after I do the daily cooking or fishing dailies - "you guys are so much nicer in Dalaran than when you wanted me to shock that dude in chains!" Maybe it's only the mages out in the field that get their hands dirty like that. Or maybe all the Kirin Tor are secretly evil and will sell us out in the next big expansion story. Would definitely be an excuse to go to war with them later. - 2009-06-27 05:10:23

197 - 312 - batgrl -

Aw, thanks! I always think of myself as a casual solo player, but one whose guild just happens to take along on raids! (I'm an ok healer, but boy I'm not at all good at dps, sadly.)

I actually hadn't thought of it til your comment - Valentine is a perfect flamingo name! - 2009-06-26 15:11:17

206 - 309 - batgrl -

I have to admit to much of the same feelings. I played beta and thought it a nasty quest, more nasty than most, especially given that sorry excuse by the Kirin Tor.

"Yeah, yeah, we got this code, but it's fine to tell other people to do the things we abhor and reap the benefits."

A bit too close to the: "the enemy does it so why can't we" kind of reasoning, which is wrong on so many levels it's frightening to see people use it without thought.

Judging by their logic, I guess the mage is put into stasis of some kind.
"Hey, we don't harm him, see...?" - 2009-06-26 11:45:01

I just wanted to tell you that I love your posts. I am a very causal player (my husband is a raider), so I spend a lot of solo time wandering around in game. This is a glorious thing for druids! Many of us have been waiting for this to happen for many a moon.

Those MMO graphics are great! Thank you for sharing them. The NE bear form for green hair is pretty awesome. Although, I can't remember if yours is a feral druid or not. I'd say so, judging by the eyepatch & shoulders in the screenshot, but I could be wrong.

My NE druid has white hair and will shift into the white bear (which actually looks a bit more cream than white) and the white cat with pink hair! I don't think I'll mind the white/pink cat because for the longest time it's bothered me that every second or third NE, male and female, has white hair. I'm sure that when this patch is rolled out there will be fewer white haired NE druids (especially male)! :)

My Tauren druid is grey and will be the grey bear and black cat. I love the grey bear form with blue on it. She's a caster, so I'm looking forward to seeing the changes to moonkin.

I'm so very excited and can't wait for this patch!! - 2009-06-18 15:21:22

Yeah, it is really amazing to contemplate how many people, worldwide, are trying to use that one ticket purchasing system.

And honestly, having been twice, I can't complain all that much. I think most of my annoyance is at the people trying to scalp tickets - and knowing that not all of those are going to be resold, except for the in game prize - well, that IS irritating. - 2009-06-05 19:21:10

You know, I vaguely remember something along the coast of Auberdine like that - I'm definitely going to have to go look now! - 2009-06-05 18:53:40

Isn't there a lighthouse on the way between Auberdine and Rutheran village? Maybe slightly different, I can't quite remember, but I'm sure there is something there! - 2009-06-05 08:20:59

Well, devils advocate time:

There are over 10 million players worldwide, if every player wanted to go and they were all sat at their keyboards at 09:59 hitting refresh, you were lucky not to be 9,999,999th in the queue!! - 2009-06-05 07:40:41

192 - 297 - HolyWarrior - http://heal-stab-dot.blogspot.com/

I completely agree about the lamb. Even knowing about the worg surprise - it's still going to startle the heck out of me when that happens.

And I've got to check out the scorpion now too. Wish they'd chosen the red and black version though - those are my favorites. - 2009-06-03 19:32:11

191 - 296 - batgrl -

Yeah I'm having to seriously work at NOT thinking about the ebay thing, that REALLY annoys me. Because there aren't going to be all that many people who can and will pay $800 for a ticket - or at least, no one I know. Wonder if attendance will turn out to be lower than the tickets sold. That will really suck for everyone. - 2009-06-03 19:29:51

192 - 295 - batgrl -

I've been complaining about the same thing. The first time I was 4 minutes late to log in and I missed out. This last time, like you, I was spamming the refresh button from 0958 to 1000.
I got in with more than 7000 people in front of me.
The worst part is seeing all of the tickets for sale on ebay immediately afterwards. - 2009-06-03 11:42:44

192 - 294 - Bob - http://shadowygoodness.wordpress.com/

The scorpion is pretty cool too. It randomly stings you!! It leaves a green cloud that looks like a hunter's serpent sting on a mob.

And also the Lamb is a must have for everyone. It's funny to be in a serious boss fight and all of a sudden see your lamb get ate.

Oh I totally forgot about the female orc thing! Because for some reason they seem to be rare - which was the reason I made one in the first place, someone in Barenschat babbled something about how they didn't exist. So of course I had to roll one.

I need to figure out how to get her a hearthstone in Dalaran though, just for things like this. As it was I had everyone drop by the Gadgetzan inn to put ears on her, on their way to the Ungoro Crater egg laying achievement.

I also think of her as my "real" shaman, even though my draenei shaman has outleveled her. Darn this having to choose sides thing! Otherwise my alliance alts would be happily helping their horde kin. (Well, at least mailing them items, anyhow.)
- 2009-05-22 14:58:19

188 - 291 - batgrl -

I totally agree with you - the prices of the tickets are worth it to buy from Blizzard for the fan who wants both the in game item and the experience of the convention. Without both as a package - and for any higher price - it's honestly not worth it to me. At that price I could buy some more software, a new ipod, another game, etc. Or go out to eat many many times.

We've heard that there's going to be another release of tickets and we'll probably try then. But it looks like it's just going to be like last year - keep hitting refresh on your screen and the fastest clicker wins.

I'm mostly still missing the photo taking opportunity - I really enjoyed seeing the costumes and the crowds.

Ah well.
Maybe the new Diablo will be coming out soon and that'll be something I can look forward to. A release date - that would be SO nice...

189 - 290 - batgrl -

Everything was set up and ready to go, but I was making the wife breakfast and didn't get back to the computer until 10:04. I started at 13,500 in line.
The worst part was that 5 minutes after sell out the tickets were already on ebay.
I will not pay $500 to go to BlizzCon. - 2009-05-19 13:55:28

189 - 289 - Bob - http://shadowygoodness.wordpress.com/

Lovely screen shots and some enjoyable comments. I persevered and got two of my toons the Noble title and got some bits and pieces on the other (my mage just wanted the rabbit).

Hardest part on our server? Putting bunny-ears on a female orc (although dwarf maidens were relatively rare too). - 2009-05-16 09:46:09

Ok I admit it, I had to look up Pthirus. And then said "oh, ew!" Heh.

And I'm really liking the idea of a croc with an Egyptian name - and again, it's a good thing I don't have more stable slots!
- 2009-04-08 18:56:54

181 - 285 - batgrl -

Ah, the demon dog. My, currently level 73, hunter plans to tame one too. I really like the colouring. Not too sure about what she's going to call him, but I had been thinking of Ammut (the Egyptian Eater of Souls) although some see him as a crocodile.

The abandoning of already tamed pets is hard, though. I euphemistically call it releasing back into the wild (and even will travel back to where I caught the pet-to-be-released).
Still, more stable-slots would definitely end up being filled.

As for the crab... I've seen one named Pthirus. =/ - 2009-04-08 10:15:44

181 - 284 - Jayhawk -

Wait...when did they add the parachute? I have it on three toons and it never had the parachute before so you sometimes died on the fall down. - 2009-03-25 12:53:10

That's right, I totally forgot about that pvp cooking thing! I understand what they're trying to do - they want to reward people for trying all aspects of the game. But I sure wish they would try to do it in ways that feel less like something you have to do like take nasty tasting medicine.
Having said that - I now kind of look forward to doing that cooking pvp thing. I may change my mind after I talk to some other people who've already done it. - 2009-03-25 02:39:47

173 - 282 - batgrl -

I don't think I could ever bring myself to abandon a pet - that is why I am still running with my pink tallstrider (tamed after I read about that one here on your blog btw).

But I am thinking of taming me a new pet, and I want a bat from Ghostlands since I had one of those on one of my earlier hunters that never got past lvl 20.

And I didn't know that pets grew in size instantly, I thought you had to lvl them all the way from lvl 5 or whatever to lvl 70! - 2009-03-20 18:55:07

Totally agree about the achievements. I seem to remember Blizz promoting the achievements as a way for *cough* less competitive players to "achieve" stuff, without having to be really into pvp and be in a raiding guild. Although I like it that there are achievements with groovy rewards for those folks, I just don't get why the cooking achievements has a pvp requirement! - 2009-03-17 19:34:07

Amazing...I don't think I ever saw that bird before. Of course, now I must go and see for myself =)

Noticed another Battlestar reference: the chief engineer has a first name that is similar to Galen and a last name that is an anagram of a name that sounds like Tyrol. Plus, he has Chief in his title and is an engineer. - 2009-03-06 15:14:50

As for more stuff to throw, they did add those paper zepplins you can buy in Dalaran, as well as the little balls you can throw for your non-combat pets. When I was one of the first in my guild to get to Dalaran, I went exploring and upon finding the toy shop, immediately bought one of those zepplins for my in-game hubby-to-be. I can't imagine what a SQUEE would sound like coming from a man but I'm sure it must have been infinitely amusing for his RL wife to hear. :) - 2009-03-04 13:34:46

Oh yeah, the PvP parts also bring a whole new level into it - have you seen how much you'll have to do with the Children's Week orphans? PvP and raiding groups both necessary for that one. Not to mention a character who's done past Children's Week quests as it requires you to have all three of the Outlands pets.

Thing is, just one holiday quest with specifics like that is going to REALLY limit the amount of people who can get the purple dragon mount - so why are they bothering to make ALL the holiday requirements such a downer?
No idea. - 2009-02-12 17:23:48

173 - 272 - batgrl -

I agree with wanting different ranks. I know that the reason they made these difficult was because of the meta achievement (the mount). But seriously. I'm not doing all of the achievements for the end result, I'm doing specific ones for specific titles. So for me, some of them are ridiculous requirements, i.e. PvP. I'm not a willing PvP-er, so those are exceptionally painful. And, of course, I do the PvP groups no favors by joining their matches because I don't think like a PvPer, I don't know the maps, etc. I'm considering skipping much of Children's week because of the PvP. - 2009-02-12 16:15:30

Tailors in Storm Peaks and Icecrown seem to get a *lot* more cloth while doing quests. Even non-tailors will get a lot more. I don't know if it's because the drop rate is just better or if the quests have one killing more humanoids. But it's a noticeable difference. Meanwhile yay being a gnome. The legs dangle but not so badly. - 2009-02-12 15:48:07

176 - 270 - bunny -

I'm running 2 toons in Northrend, who are actually questing. I get a feeling I get maybe a stack of cloth per 4-5 hours playing (at most). The Tailor herself can't play yet (as I'm playing her with a friend). So she's up at Tailoring 400 just now. I've had some luck buying the odd stack of cloth for 7-8 gold, but that's about as much as I'm willing to pay. So I guess it will stay rising sloooowly. In a way it's a bit of a bummer as one of the questing toons is a clothie who hit 80 a couple weeks ago (I can't bring myself to use her for farming cloth only though...)

As for the carpets for sale, I actually saw someone offer one for a similar price on my server the other day. I might do it. =) - 2009-02-10 15:29:45

The Sled idea is pure awesomeness (I fell like adding something to that word.. it just doesn't look right).

As for balls.... As much as I will draw down the heat of all my fellow exiled gnomes... I think that a Gnome ball would be kind of cute...

You throw/kick it... and it lands, unravels and runs about manically until you manage to kick/hit it again... - 2009-02-10 00:30:36

Reading about the sledding just reminded me - during the beta I recall seeing a vid on YouTube about a flight path that was actually some kind of log ride? Did that not make it into live or have I somehow managed to miss it? - 2009-02-09 12:50:58

I made on for my Dwarf the other day and hadn't even noticed it until I teamed up with a friend who, like your picture, is a Night Elf and we howled at the way her legs dangled through her carpet. Fixed what I hope is that error - uploaded new code yesterday, let me know if it's still being fussy! And sorry for any annoyance with it! - 2009-02-08 14:26:45

172 - 265 - batgrl -

Ok, I am SO glad to hear someone else say that! I went out yesterday to gather cloth and try to work on those points - I ended up leaving an area and only having 5 pieces of cloth drop. Ugh. So not gonna be able to quest in that area AND get cloth. Guess it's time for me to research better farming places!

Here was something odd on my server - someone was selling one of the low level/slower Flying Carpets for a low price (like 75 gold or something) - and there were several other carpets on the auction house. I snagged one of those and now I'm spending my cloth making anything that will get me points and my enchanter another green to disenchant.

I suppose since there's the new "get a dragonhawk mount if you have 100 mounts" thing that more people will be selling carpets that way. - 2009-02-08 14:24:45

176 - 264 - batgrl -

I have to admit that I get a lot of these ideas by listen to the people in my guild talk in guildchat. And random strangers talk in general. Like the day everyone was talking about how there should be more humourous things in Leatherworking and Herbalism - and I thought, yeah, they wouldn't even have to be usable important buffs, we'd STILL find them amusing.

Meanwhile maybe if this gets sunk deep into the Google Searches out there someone might use the ideas! Kind of the Message in a Bottle approach, you never know where the info will end up. - 2009-02-08 14:19:42

Now that looks seriously weird...
Sadly, my tailor needs a lot more than 10 points to be able to make one. Cloth has such a seriously low drop rate. =/ - 2009-02-08 02:36:43

Ok I had NO idea that a heroic dungeon was required. Geez. Though I'm lucky to be in a guild with folk that'd help - I'm way behind everyone in getting to 80, and then tend to poke far behind the gang in instancing as well. I can still count on one hand the number of heroics I've been on in the first place. So if I'd figured that bit out I'd have known this was a "Not To Bother With" thing early on.

And I totally agree - I really wish Blizz would keep some of the achievement/holiday fun possible for a larger population than "everyone who's reached the max level." Frankly I'm surprised at the heroic requirement after they made such a big deal of "we're keeping the game accessible for solo players." Meanwhile there are a good section of gamers that enjoy the challenge of trying something that might end up being a death run for a lower lvl character - part of the humor of it - and all the more reason to let the lower levels in, whether they die or not. The way Blizz had always described achievements (or what they intended for them to be) was a sort of fun thing within the game, but nothing that would benefit you in terms of your dps or gear. But always in that description was the emphasis on the word FUN. But having each holiday be something I have to carefully parse through each achievement to be able to see if I can manage it - less and less fun there.

I REALLY like the idea of multiple tiers of titles. Silly ones for the "what the heck" crowd and the more serious ones for the folks who desire that. I mean, I've never been after completing this world event stuff for that purple dragon mount (tho I'll be enjoying watching others ride them!), and I'd understand them wanting to make that prize a bit more difficult. But really, making a silly title hang on doing a heroic lvl 80 instance and then at the same time insisting that achievements are all in fun....er, not so much. Not with the long LONG list of elders required for this title - that's a lengthy amount of travel just to get to all of them. Add to that the time and planning to get those instance runs in - and then all that without the happy xp bonus - just, ouch.

Thing is, they don't need to invent new things to get us to spend time playing - many of us can happily while away hours in here. But when they manage to make it LESS fun while claiming to be trying to add fun?
*much headshaking*

Thanks for making me feel a lot less like the sick grumbly person! Here I was thinking that I was sounding a bit irrational, or that it was all the joys of post-virus crankiness!

And on a happy note - I'll have pet post to come - I finally got that blighthound! - 2009-01-29 04:54:14

173 - 259 - batgrl -

Unfortunately, it's even worse than that ~~~~--~~~~ one of the dungeon Elders in is a Heroic dungeon that requires you to be level 80.

So like you, I have decided to pass on the Elder title ... for this year, at least. (Mania the character is level 80, but I don't group willingly so the upper dungeons are out of my league.)

I understand Blizzard's position that not all characters can accomplish all achievements immediately. But if it were me, I think I'd keep fluffy holiday achievements like Lunar Festival accessible to all characters, say, level 20+.

(Actually I'd have a whole tiered system of multiple titles for each level break to help replay value over multiple years, plus mounts and pets .. but that's a whole essay. *grin*) - 2009-01-28 23:46:32

run/walk animation is influenced by the hunter's speed- if I run normaly the hound toggles run and walk animations. if I activate aspect of cheetah the hound stay with running animation much more.
I must say I found this pet by surprise at exactly lvl 74. I thought my birthday came early when I realized it is tameable ^^.

I have been using one for some time now and they do indeed have a run animation, they just do not do it all the time. While I run he switches back and from between a fast walk and a run. either way I have never noticed him lag behind because of it. At least while under water he does something, a normal walk and run animation, unlike how some of the older pets would just lock up.

Take into account i am full BM including the increased run speed while pet is up. That may be forcing him into the run animation on occasion - 2008-12-10 18:06:46

Awesome post! I have a Vargul hound and I love him. However it's pretty obvious that it didn't start out as a pet. It's missing a couple animations. It does run, much like all plaugehounds do. A sorts bounding stride. It doesn't have a swim animation, it walks underwater. In combat he seems stiff compares to other pets. Hopefully they will fix his animation issues. - 2008-12-10 16:56:51

I now want to do the Death Knight quests again - as soon as I get my horde character to 55 that is! Cool idea to have a "set" of Death Knights that way, MamaDruid. Er, and I'll have to get around to doing that someday, when I find the time - Northrend is keeping me very busy.

mandm413 - you're totally right about the psychological part of being a gnome in pvp - many people see one and can NOT resist trying to kill it. I always get really amused by this, since I can understand the "gnomes-annoying-must-kill!" response. It's probably even more amusing for me because I really like all the horde races (I have alts of all horde races) - I can't think of one that gets the same reaction that gnomes do. - 2008-12-03 21:00:56

The Turkeys are actually there for an acheivement called 'Friend or Fowl?' I tried to do it in Valgarde but couldn't do it on my hunter with Aspect of cheetah and shooting them. I did however find a Camp West of the Explorer's League Outpost that has oodles of turkeys to shoot. No extra Acheivement for doing it On Thanksgiving though...An Easter Egg (I think) for completeing this acheivement was a bunch of angry turkeys spawn and start attacking you...Much like in the Zelda series when you continuously attack a chicken it'll send the calvary after you, hehe. - 2008-12-01 10:17:28

On our Alliance Death Knights, we rode to Light's Hope Chapel, saw a bunch of other Death Knights standing around talking and an NPC with a yellow ?. That was it? We just ride up and are done? How strange.

Thankfully, we did get to experience the event on our Horde Death Knights. Needless to say, we were confused for a little while as we fully expected to ride up to Light's Hope Chapel and turn in the quest like we had done on Alliance side. - 2008-11-20 14:14:15
